A typical day at Wee Cherub Preschool includes structured and unstructured activities focusing on several areas such as:

Three Year Old Class (3 by Dec. 1)

*Listening skills, large & fine motor skills
*Block play, puzzles, books, theme related stories, imaginative play
*Finger plays, songs, calendar time
*Colors, Shapes, The Four Seasons, Arts & Crafts
*Introduction to letters/sounds, numbers

Pre-K Class (4 by Dec. 1)

*Letter and sound recognition, letter formation
*Number and quantity recognition
*Classification, sequencing, patterns, language development
*Listening skills, visual-motor skills, fine motor skills
*Emphasis on independence and following directions
*Large motor instruction

Kindergarten Readiness Program

**This 5 day program is for the child who is old enough to start kindergarten (5 yrs. by 12/1) but is not quite socially and/or academically ready.  Placement of older preschoolers (5 yrs. by March 15) will be based on teachers' recommendations and the director’s approval.  This is an in-depth study of the Pre-K curriculum listed above as well as:

*Big learning with Clifford, the Big Red Dog
*Fun new literature units
*Phonetic awareness
*Letter of the week themes
*Sudoku with Dora and Diego
*Reading and math readiness
*Science and nature activities/Hands-on fun
