Children and Student Ministries
Every child needs to be known and to belong. We believe this knowledge begins in the home with parents and family, but as children grow, they are influenced by new voices. Our family ministry environments partner to engage children spiritually and reinforce the value of family. We work together to ensure that each child knows that they matter, they belong, and they can pursue Jesus and encourage others to do the same.
Children (Birth to 4th Grade)
Our children's ministry is a place where kids can experience the awesomeness of God in an environment that is just for them. We focus on building a strong, gospel-centered foundation by teaching the truths of the Bible in a way that is engaging and exciting. Each Sunday in King's World, we meet for a time of exciting, age-appropriate worship music and Bible teaching and then split into our small groups where kids will be able to develop relationships with their leaders and the others in their group.
Middle School (5th to 8th Grade)
Our middle school ministry is an opportunity for students to become more mature in their faith and further understand what it looks like to become a disciple of Christ. We believe that a student’s parents (not their church) will always be the biggest influence on their lives in every way – including spiritually. That is why at Shine we put a strong focus on partnering with parents. We use the term partner for a reason. It’s because we believe parents and the church need each other. As you invest in the daily spiritual growth of your middle school child, we come alongside your family to teach and involve your kids in experiencing God as a community of believers.
High School (9th to 12th Grade)
Our high school ministry is a place where students will continue to grow in their faith and understand the importance of being a witness to those within their circles of influence. At Movi, we focus on the kinds of people teens are becoming because that is what they will be remembered for. Our hope is that students will build relationships with each other, their leaders and most importantly Christ. Every Wednesday, we begin with large group, where we have a time of worship followed by a message. After the program, students will get together with their small group leaders to discuss what they learned.
